I activated the following runes to complete the quest:

Taam

Talar

Dregla

Just make sure only those 3 are activated when you talk to the mage and you should be good to go. Otherwise, you take roughly 12 million damage (Can be immuned).

Activate these 3 runes in any possible order then speak to 雷特森·焰怒 at the center of the runes to continue.

Dregia rune needs to be balanced by arcane and death

Talar (arcane) is required by Dregia and does not work with void and corruption

Cyiq should be avoided in all rituals

Taam (death) is required by Dregia

Igannok is a void rune (don't use with Talar)

Xiur has adverse reactions to arcane (again, don't use with Talar)

Result: use Dregia with Talar and Taam

My way of figuring it out

Xiur- Do not use this rune at all

Cyiq- Do not use this rune at all

Taam- Is good to use

Igannok-(Mabey)

Dregla-is good to use

Talar-(mabey)

Talar (Arcane) - Useless with Void & Corruption magics *

Dregla (Fel) - Needs to be balanced by arcane & Death magics

Igannok (void) - Only use if the venefits outweigh the negatives *

Xiur (shadows) - Do not use with arcane *

Taam (death) - ?

Cyiq (Corruption) - Do not use

I know it's stupid, but you have to read every single book to figure out which runes to activate and which ones not to activate.

What I did and it worked for me was: Dregia > Talar > Taam

You have to activate the correct three runes (order to use doesnt matter).

Dregla rune - green color.Taam rune - purple color.Talar rune - blue color (in the middle of row).

Dont remember to tell Ristun that you're ready.

I believe they can be activated in any order, as long as these are the only three you use. It appears to be an arcane ritual and the other three descriptions have a warning tone against their use. Just make sure you read all the books first, then activate the three runes. There are four books on the left hand side of the room, and four on the right.
